You should check your blood pressure regularly by a certified medical person. This is the only way you can track your health status. But your check up must be correct and take following steps to avoid getting false readings:-
1. Do not exercise, drink coffee, or smoke cigarettes for 30 minutes before the test.
2. Go to the bathroom before the test.
3. For at least 5 minutes before the test, sit in a chair and relax.
4. Make sure your feet are flat on the floor.
5. Do not talk while you are relaxing or during the test.
